Laminating

(Encapsulation)

Encapsulation is a process once sealed the document or item is waterproof. We use 250 micron (125 each side) pouches for maximum durability.

We have a variety of sizes pouches which can be used, the maximum thickness for any item to be laminated is 3mm.

• 54mm x 86mm – Glossy
• 65mm x 95mm – Glossy
• 153mm x 216mm – holds A5 148.5mm x 210mm
• 216mm x 303mm – holds A4 210mm x 297mm
• 303mm x 426mm – holds A3 – 297mm x 420mm

It is possible to trim excess pouch material from around encapsulated items after laminating and cooling, pouches can also be written on using a dry-erase markers.

Please note we can not encapsulate heat sensitive documents (i.e. tickets, ultrasounds etc).  We would recommend doing a test run with an item similar in size and thickness before laminating valuable items
