All files should be supplied as a press ready PDF at the correct size with 3mm bleed on all edges
PDF's supplied should have all fonts embedded or converted to curves and any images should have a minimum resolution or more size for size. Where text is part of an image it is preferable to be 600dpi.
Full Colour print should be converted to CMYK (including any images)
Files to be sent 1 side per page in your document with crop marks (coloured to allow for all separations)
Jobs with multiple pages such as booklets should have each page on a separate page in your document Do NOT send as spreads or readers pairs.
On double sided jobs the front page (or the side to be laminated) should always be page 1 in your document.
Keep text or live information 4mm in from each edge and well away from any rounded corners. It is good to allow more for booklets and jobs that are to be folded or perforated.
BEAR IN MIND WHEN DESIGNING:
- Check your measurements for any folds, crops or perforations. (Both sides if double sided)
- Also check your colour values for consistency and that any overprint settings are not on where not required.
- Blacks can be made richer by adding a percentage of Cyan, Magenta and Yellow - e.g. C20 / M20 / Y20 / B100.
- Artwork for spot colour printing should contain the correct Pantone Spot Colours.
- Sending your files with any colour management profiles drastically alters the final printed result.
EXAMPLE: 85mm x 55mm BUSINESS CARD
(Dotted lines & cross hatching are for illustration purposes only and should not be on any files sent).
If any alterations or amendments are required, the native files should be supplied with all fonts and images included.
We reserve the right to charge artwork at our standard studio rate for any works carried out.
The DOCUMENT SIZE should always be
set at final product size - in this instance
85mm x 55mm
Pull any images or colours to BLEED 3mm
beyond the edge of the document.
Leave a minimum 4mm QUIET BORDER
of clear space with no text or important
information inside the final document size.
Always print PDF files onto a PAGE SIZE
larger than the document size so that the
crops and bleed show on the final PDF
